The carbon fiber honeycomb panel mounted on the Hayabusa 2

Japan’s JAXA launched the Hayabusa 2 in order to investigate the asteroid Rongguan six years ago. On December 6, Japan time, the capsule of the Hayabusa 2 returned to Earth. The airtight cabin landed in the Australian desert. The airtight chamber contains a sample of sand collected on the Longguan asteroid. The technology to bring deep space sand back to earth is very difficult. A very important part of this success is the carbon fiber honeycomb panel of Hayabusa 2 equipped with solar cells. The special carbon fiber honeycomb panel developed and produced by our parent company Supa Reijin Industry (SR) can not be destroyed or deformed even in the cosmic space with drastic temperature changes and various radiations.
